Graduation

Hey guys!!! Man it's been awhile since my last blog post. I have a lot to catch you up on. I've been so busy lately with graduation, starting a new job and of course making CUPCAKES.

Where do I start? Well lets start by catching you up on whats been going on since I last wrote to you all. On May 1st I graduated from Waynesburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Entrepreneurship and a Minor in Marketing. (No I do not know the random girl walking in the background of the picture below haha)

I finally graduated college!! I can't believe how fast the last four years have gone. I learned a lot throughout my four years in and out of the classroom.  I am beyond thankful for the amazing people that came into my life by attending Waynesburg University. I want to take the time to recognize some of the people that impacted my life these past four years.

There is 4 girls that made my time at Waynesburg extra special. They became my best friends freshman year and I know that we will be forever friends. Mims Miller, Heather Davis, Brooke Simons and Maura Bobby. They were my teammates, my best friends, a shoulder to cry on, tough love at times, and everything between. They helped me through the tough times and made the good times even better. I made some incredible memories with these girls by my side. I could always count on them. I already miss them and I am going to miss them so much in the years to come. But I know that the friendship that we have will last a lifetime.

I also have to give a shout out to my Lady J's. I owe a lot to them. Many hours were spent in the gym and on a bus with my girls. We ran a lot of sidelines and a lot of blood, sweat and tears were shared through the four years in the Lady J's uniform. There was some ups and there was more downs then expected but I wouldn't trade my experience as a Lady J's for anything. I learned what being a leader really means. I learned what hard work is and what happens when you put in the hard work. I learned a lot about myself. I didn't just grow as a basketball player but I grew as a person during my time on the basketball court with my Lady J's. No matter what was happening I knew I could go to the gym and these girls would help me forget about it for a little while.

I would also like to recognize my family for helping me through these past four years. The support I got from my parents and my wonderful sisters was unreal. My grandparents were always there for me. My grammy and my grandpa supported me and could always put a smile on my face no matter what. My Grandma Blair and my Aunt Karen barely missed a game with their bright orange shoes. It meant a lot to me that I could look up in the stands and always have someone there to support me.

I don't think they will ever know but the support I got from them throughout my college career, my basketball career, and my short lacrosse career meant the absolute world to me. Family is everything to me. I am forever thankful for the family that God has blessed me with.

Now it is time to chase my dreams. It'll take hard work and dedication but I am up for the challenge.

I made a lot of delicious cupcake orders for my customers that I would love to share with you guys. Stay tuned :)

Until next time.

Love You More Wedding

Good afternoon everybody. I wanted to share with you a wedding we did over the weekend. We are always so happy to be a part of someone’s big day. The bride and groom requested a vanilla on vanilla cake just for them. Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting.   Here is the cake without the fancy decorations. I loved how simple and classy this cake turned out. The wedding was in a cute little barn. Their colors were light blue, dark blue, light pink and burlap. We wanted to make the cake pop and go along with the theme of the venue. We added some burlap and they picked out an adorable cute topper that said I love you more. The burlap and the cake topper took this cake to a new level. We loved it and so did our customers.  In addition to the cake they requested cupcakes for their guests. I love this idea. I think having cupcakes for your guest to grab and go back to their table is so convenient and it looks great. They wanted Chocolate Cupcakes with Almond...

Run for the Roses Bridal Shower

Good Evening and Happy Wednesday!! I had a high school friend approach me a little while back to make her sister's bridal shower cupcakes. Her sister attended Kentucky University, where she met her   Fiancé .  After they get married they will be moving back to Kentucky. As you probably collected Kentucky has a BIG part of their relationship.  The bride’s sister wanted to somehow incorporate Kentucky into the cupcakes for the bridal shower.  We made Run for the Roses mini cupcakes to add a creative twist to the bridal shower. She requested mini cupcakes so they are easy to grab and go. The other thought was it wouldn’t be too messy for the women who 'dressed up for the derby". We loved this idea! The flavors that she requested were Mocha Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and Strawberry Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting . With the frosting piped and colored to look like roses. These cupcakes turned out simple and classy....

Love is Sweet Grab a Treat – Engagement Party Cupcakes

Burr it sure is cold here in Ohio.  Just when you thought it would warm up……. You wake up to everything covered in white fluffy snow. The forecast is looking like it will be warming up soon... which means all of the pretty white snow will be melting which means a muddy mess. Yup that sounds like a winter in Ohio. Throughout the winter months what is better than staying warm in the kitchen baking up a storm? My sister, Heather, got engaged and I couldn’t be more thrilled for her and her finance. I am the youngest of 4 and Heather was the first one to get engaged. With that being said my parents are beyond excited.  Anytime there is an excuse to have a party my family goes all out. We planned an awesome engagement party for the love birds. Of course I took this time to whip up a new recipe. I was thinking I wanted to capture the engagement with the flavors of my cupcakes. Growing up my Aunt Karen always sang "love is in the air" to my sisters and I. When I was plan...
