Monster Cookie Cupcakes

Hey Everyone :) So tonight I wanted to share the cupcakes I made for my sister and I's graduation party. My amazing and talented sister, Heather, graduated from Trinity School of Nursing with RN nursing degree. We wanted to celebrate together so I waited a few months and we celebrated ours together. Of course I took care of the dessert and guess what I made CUPCAKES!

With that being said I wanted to try something new and experiment with a new recipe. I went with Monster Cookie Cupcakes. The base of the cupcake was peanut butter with milk chocolate chips. Then I topped it off with a heaping amount of creamy cookie dough. It wasn't your typical cookie dough though. The cookie dough was made with cream cheese, M&Ms, chocolate chips and oats.

They were a success!! The expressions and reactions I got from everybody after the first bit of the new cupcakes were so humbling. Since the party in July I have had 4 orders requesting the new Monster Cookie Cupcakes. You know you want one yourself :)

For the second cupcake of course I had to make my top seller, Reese Cupcakes. You can't go wrong with the combination of peanut butter and chocolate. They always leave my customers satisfied.

Thinking about the third type of cupcake I wanted to make a flavor that those that don't like chocolate can enjoy. So I went with my Strawberry Delight Cupcakes. A base of vanilla cupcakes with fresh cut strawberries and topped them off with vanilla buttercream frosting.

If you are looking for cupcakes to help you celebrate and spice up your party you know who to call. Place an order at laurlaurssweettreats@gmail.com or 740-258-9890 and we will take care of you. We look forward to doing business with you soon!

Until next time.
XO

Apple Pie Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting

Better late then never right?! I love trying new recipes and mixing it up. The perfect time to do so is the holidays with the family because of course I supply the dessert! I know they will give me their honest opinion so I can perfect my master piece. I wanted to share with you all what I mixed up for this year for Thanksgiving. Apple Pie Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting . These cupcakes were a HIT .  When you take your first bite of these cupcakes there is a surprise waiting for you.  When you bite into the spice cake you find an apple pie filling inside. The perfect combination of spices and the warm apple pie filling went together perfectly.  I made a cinnamon buttercream frosting and topped it off with a few pieces of apple pie filling. Lastly, I lightly dusted the top of the cupcakes with cinnamon.                                    Apple ...

Pretty and Pink Smash Cake!

Smash Cake!!!! Have you all been to a little kids first birthday?? My first one was one of my best friend's little girls birthday party. It was so much fun to watch Baby Sky with her cake. At first she was caution. She was giving her mom a look like mommy what is this?? Then she tried a little piece of the cake and her face lite up. In her tiny human brain she looked like she was screaming CAKE!!!!! It was so adorable to witness such a thing. I had the honor of making a sweet girls first birthday cake and I have a feeling her experience went the same as well. Her dad requested a smash cake and said anything with pink. So of course I had to add a special twist to it. Pretty and Pink Smash Cake When I delivered the cake I got multiple comments that "it is too pretty to smash". That to me is the best compliment. You know that the smash cake exists so the parents and relatives can take cute pictures of the cake smashed all over t...

Run for the Roses Bridal Shower

Good Evening and Happy Wednesday!! I had a high school friend approach me a little while back to make her sister's bridal shower cupcakes. Her sister attended Kentucky University, where she met her   Fiancé .  After they get married they will be moving back to Kentucky. As you probably collected Kentucky has a BIG part of their relationship.  The bride’s sister wanted to somehow incorporate Kentucky into the cupcakes for the bridal shower.  We made Run for the Roses mini cupcakes to add a creative twist to the bridal shower. She requested mini cupcakes so they are easy to grab and go. The other thought was it wouldn’t be too messy for the women who 'dressed up for the derby". We loved this idea! The flavors that she requested were Mocha Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and Strawberry Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting . With the frosting piped and colored to look like roses. These cupcakes turned out simple and classy....
