Flower Child Cupcakes

Good Evening All!! I hope you had a great Friday. IT'S FINALLY THE WEEKEND. My sister is home from California so I am pumped. We are having a family cookout tomorrow so I cannot wait. Good food, sunshine, and good company, what else do you need? What are your plans for this weekend? Mine are to relax and enjoy the company around me :)

I wanted to share with you cupcakes that I made for a 70's themed party. I got a request to help spice up a party with some groovy cupcakes. I wanted to make sure I grasped the theme and gave everyone something to talk about. My top seller Reese Cupcakes and the birthday girls favorite Yellow Cake Cupcakes were requested. I nicknamed both cupcakes to go with the theme of the party.

Groovy Reese Cupcakes

Groovy Reese Cupcakes were the perfect combination of peanut butter and chocolate. The base was chocolate cake with peanut butter morsels inside. Creamy peanut butter buttercream frosting pipped on top and topped off with colorful heart candies.

Flower Child Cupcakes

Flower Child Cupcakes had a base of yellow cake. Chocolate buttercream frosting pipped on top and topped off with two colorful flower candies.

They were very happy with the cupcakes. The cupcakes were simple and perfect addition to the party. Matched the 70's theme perfect. The birthday girl enjoyed her yellow cake cupcake while she danced to the groovy 70's music.

If you are looking for cupcakes to spice up the theme of your party you know who to call. Place an order at laurlaurssweettreats@gmail.com or 740-258-9890 and we will take care of you. We look forward to doing business with you soon!

I know they will give me their honest opinion so I can perfect my master piece. I wanted to share with you all what I mixed up for this year for Thanksgiving. Apple Pie Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting . These cupcakes were a HIT .  When you take your first bite of these cupcakes there is a surprise waiting for you.  When you bite into the spice cake you find an apple pie filling inside. Lastly, I lightly dusted the top of the cupcakes with cinnamon.                                    Apple ...

Pretty and Pink Smash Cake!

Smash Cake!!!! Have you all been to a little kids first birthday?? My first one was one of my best friend's little girls birthday party. It was so much fun to watch Baby Sky with her cake. At first she was caution. She was giving her mom a look like mommy what is this?? Then she tried a little piece of the cake and her face lite up. In her tiny human brain she looked like she was screaming CAKE!!!!! It was so adorable to witness such a thing. I had the honor of making a sweet girls first birthday cake and I have a feeling her experience went the same as well. Her dad requested a smash cake and said anything with pink. So of course I had to add a special twist to it. Pretty and Pink Smash Cake When I delivered the cake I got multiple comments that "it is too pretty to smash". That to me is the best compliment. You know that the smash cake exists so the parents and relatives can take cute pictures of the cake smashed all over t...

Run for the Roses Bridal Shower

Good Evening and Happy Wednesday!! I had a high school friend approach me a little while back to make her sister's bridal shower cupcakes. Her sister attended Kentucky University, where she met her   Fiancé .  After they get married they will be moving back to Kentucky. As you probably collected Kentucky has a BIG part of their relationship.  The bride’s sister wanted to somehow incorporate Kentucky into the cupcakes for the bridal shower.  We made Run for the Roses mini cupcakes to add a creative twist to the bridal shower. She requested mini cupcakes so they are easy to grab and go. The other thought was it wouldn’t be too messy for the women who 'dressed up for the derby". We loved this idea! The flavors that she requested were Mocha Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and Strawberry Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting . With the frosting piped and colored to look like roses. These cupcakes turned out simple and classy....
