Brown Bear Pottery Open House Minis

Happy Saturday!

Brown Bear Pottery is a local business out of Newbury, OH. All of their pieces are beautiful. Each year they are coming up with new pieces that are even more impressive than the last. Every year they hold an Open House for their customers. The past two years we have been honored to be apart of it.

This is the second year they requested cupcakes. The event is close to Christmas and not far from Thanksgiving. They wanted those two holidays to be represented in the flavors. We went with Pumpkin Spice Minis and Peppermint Hot Chocolate Minis.

They ordered our mini cupcakes because they are perfect for their customers to grab and go. The mini cupcakes fit perfectly on the platters they were selling. As their customers came in to pick up their orders or browse, the minis were perfect for them to grab and keep moving.

Pumpkin Spice Minis

These minis were hard to just eat one. They were super moist and had a delicious flavor.

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Minis

The Peppermint Hot Chocolate Minis were tasty. The peppermint buttercream is a perfect compliment of the chocolate cupcake. The frosting gives a little bit of a crunch to the cupcake.

Go check out Brown Bear Pottery at http://brownbearpottery.com/. They have a Spring Open House coming up in May!

Apple Pie Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting

Better late then never right?! I love trying new recipes and mixing it up. The perfect time to do so is the holidays with the family because of course I supply the dessert! I know they will give me their honest opinion so I can perfect my master piece. I wanted to share with you all what I mixed up for this year for Thanksgiving. Apple Pie Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting . These cupcakes were a HIT .  When you take your first bite of these cupcakes there is a surprise waiting for you.  When you bite into the spice cake you find an apple pie filling inside. The perfect combination of spices and the warm apple pie filling went together perfectly.  I made a cinnamon buttercream frosting and topped it off with a few pieces of apple pie filling. Lastly, I lightly dusted the top of the cupcakes with cinnamon.                                    Apple ...

Pretty and Pink Smash Cake!

Smash Cake!!!! Have you all been to a little kids first birthday?? My first one was one of my best friend's little girls birthday party. It was so much fun to watch Baby Sky with her cake. At first she was caution. She was giving her mom a look like mommy what is this?? Then she tried a little piece of the cake and her face lite up. In her tiny human brain she looked like she was screaming CAKE!!!!! It was so adorable to witness such a thing. I had the honor of making a sweet girls first birthday cake and I have a feeling her experience went the same as well. Her dad requested a smash cake and said anything with pink. So of course I had to add a special twist to it. Pretty and Pink Smash Cake When I delivered the cake I got multiple comments that "it is too pretty to smash". That to me is the best compliment. You know that the smash cake exists so the parents and relatives can take cute pictures of the cake smashed all over t...

Run for the Roses Bridal Shower

Good Evening and Happy Wednesday!! I had a high school friend approach me a little while back to make her sister's bridal shower cupcakes. Her sister attended Kentucky University, where she met her   Fiancé .  After they get married they will be moving back to Kentucky. As you probably collected Kentucky has a BIG part of their relationship.  The bride’s sister wanted to somehow incorporate Kentucky into the cupcakes for the bridal shower.  We made Run for the Roses mini cupcakes to add a creative twist to the bridal shower. She requested mini cupcakes so they are easy to grab and go. The other thought was it wouldn’t be too messy for the women who 'dressed up for the derby". We loved this idea! The flavors that she requested were Mocha Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and Strawberry Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting . With the frosting piped and colored to look like roses. These cupcakes turned out simple and classy....
