United Way Cookie Walk 2016

I had the pleasure to be apart of a great event. This past December I was approached by the Outreach Director for the United Way of Licking County. She asked me if she could place an order for 400 cookies for an event called The Cookie Walk. She placed and order for 200 Oatmeal Scotchies and 200 Chocolate Chip cookies. I got really excited for this order not just because Oatmeal Scotchies are my favorite cookie batter haha but because of the opportunity to help out at an amazing event.


For anyone who doesn't know what the cookie walk is, it is an event that is put on by the City of Pataskala Ohio around Christmas time. They collect donations and canned foods to support the local food pantries. To participate in the event you can donated a minimum of $1.00 or a canned good. By doing so you receive a bag for you and your family to walk around downtown to the local business that have cookies out to help you fill that bag!

The cookies turned out great and the event was successful. I was so happy to be apart of something special. Giving back to the community is important and I am glad The United Way gave me an opportunity to do so. 


Baking is a love and passion of mine. It was extra special for me to share that and help out a great cause. Not to mention Oatmeal Scotchies are the best and you cannot go wrong with the traditional chocolate chip cookies!!

Good Evening and Happy Wednesday!! I had a high school friend approach me a little while back to make her sister's bridal shower cupcakes. Her sister attended Kentucky University, where she met her   Fiancé .  After they get married they will be moving back to Kentucky. She requested mini cupcakes so they are easy to grab and go. The other thought was it wouldn’t be too messy for the women who 'dressed up for the derby". We loved this idea! The flavors that she requested were Mocha Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and Strawberry Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting . With the frosting piped and colored to look like roses. These cupcakes turned out simple and classy....

Pretty and Pink Smash Cake!

Smash Cake!!!! Have you all been to a little kids first birthday?? My first one was one of my best friend's little girls birthday party. It was so much fun to watch Baby Sky with her cake. At first she was caution. She was giving her mom a look like mommy what is this?? Then she tried a little piece of the cake and her face lite up. In her tiny human brain she looked like she was screaming CAKE!!!!! It was so adorable to witness such a thing. I had the honor of making a sweet girls first birthday cake and I have a feeling her experience went the same as well. Her dad requested a smash cake and said anything with pink. Disney Princess Cupcakes

Happy HUMP Day! Being a Disney Princess is every little girls dream in one way or the other. I got to help celebrate a little girls birthday with taking her dream and putting them into a sweet treat for her party. He mom threw an awesome birthday party for her daughter and friends to enjoy. The colors came out fun and vibrant. I matched the color of the icing to cutouts that was provided to me. I made the frosting look like the princess dress/skirt.
