Run for the Roses Bridal Shower

Good Evening and Happy Wednesday!! I had a high school friend approach me a little while back to make her sister's bridal shower cupcakes. Her sister attended Kentucky University, where she met her   Fiancé .  After they get married they will be moving back to Kentucky. As you probably collected Kentucky has a BIG part of their relationship.  The bride’s sister wanted to somehow incorporate Kentucky into the cupcakes for the bridal shower.  We made Run for the Roses mini cupcakes to add a creative twist to the bridal shower. She requested mini cupcakes so they are easy to grab and go. The other thought was it wouldn’t be too messy for the women who 'dressed up for the derby". We loved this idea! The flavors that she requested were Mocha Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and Strawberry Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting . With the frosting piped and colored to look like roses. These cupcakes turned out simple and classy....

Love You More Wedding

Good afternoon everybody. I wanted to share with you a wedding we did over the weekend. We are always so happy to be a part of someone’s big day. The bride and groom requested a vanilla on vanilla cake just for them. Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting.   Here is the cake without the fancy decorations. I loved how simple and classy this cake turned out. The wedding was in a cute little barn. Their colors were light blue, dark blue, light pink and burlap. We wanted to make the cake pop and go along with the theme of the venue. We added some burlap and they picked out an adorable cute topper that said I love you more. The burlap and the cake topper took this cake to a new level. We loved it and so did our customers.  In addition to the cake they requested cupcakes for their guests. I love this idea. I think having cupcakes for your guest to grab and go back to their table is so convenient and it looks great. They wanted Chocolate Cupcakes with Almond...

Reese's Lovers Jars

This month is Operation Feed at the bank. Operation feed is a campaign that is currently running where all proceeds go to the Food Pantry. The campaign consists of different events that take place in efforts to raise money for the Food Pantry. Thursday there was a cake auction and I volunteered to make a basket. I knew I wanted to make my Reese Lover's Cupcakes because you can never go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter right? Then my creative mind went to work. I layered the cupcakes in a mason jar. Reese's Lovers Jar They turned out so cute. I loved them and so did everyone at the cake auction. These jars are perfect with grabbing a fork and digging right in! Then if you couldn't finish it you can put the lid back on and take it home with you. How perfect?  The basket turned out great. With all the snow, rain and cold weather I went with an Easter basket to remind everybody spring is coming (hopefully)!!!  Another great cause and a s...

Apple Pie Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting

Better late then never right?! I love trying new recipes and mixing it up. The perfect time to do so is the holidays with the family because of course I supply the dessert! I know they will give me their honest opinion so I can perfect my master piece. I wanted to share with you all what I mixed up for this year for Thanksgiving. Apple Pie Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting . These cupcakes were a HIT .  When you take your first bite of these cupcakes there is a surprise waiting for you.  When you bite into the spice cake you find an apple pie filling inside. Lastly, I lightly dusted the top of the cupcakes with cinnamon.                                    Apple ...

United Way Cookie Walk 2016

I had the pleasure to be apart of a great event. This past December I was approached by the Outreach Director for the United Way of Licking County. She asked me if she could place an order for 400 cookies for an event called The Cookie Walk . She placed and order for 200 Oatmeal Scotchies and 200 Chocolate Chip cookies. I got really excited for this order not just because Oatmeal Scotchies are my favorite cookie batter haha but because of the opportunity to help out at an amazing event. For anyone who doesn't know what the cookie walk is, it is an event that is put on by the City of Pataskala Ohio around Christmas time. They collect donations and canned foods to support the local food pantries. To participate in the event you can donated a minimum of $1.00 or a canned good. By doing so you receive a bag for you and your family to walk around downtown to the local business that have cookies out to help you fill that bag! The cookies turned out great and the event was suc...
